Unemployment Problem in Bangladesh Essay-(Unemployment Problem)

Introduction:

Unemployment refers to a situation where a person, whether educated or not, is unable to earn a living. The issue has become a major source of concern around the world. But there is no problem like Bangladesh anywhere in the world. Millions of people are unemployed in our country. Managing a job is currently the hardest job for every young person. It is tiring and sometimes insulting. To find a job, a person has to run from office to office year after year. Hundreds of people competed for a single position. Unemployment has a negative impact that is not limited to the economic field; It also damages one’s moral values due to lack of jobs. Many young people are dissatisfied. They are forced to live a nomadic life. They could not waste that time. Life became a curse and a burden for them. When there is no hope, they resort to crimes like snatching, looting, robbery, murder, terrorism, drug addiction etc.

Unemployment is due to various reasons-

Population growth:

Our country is burdened with people. The main cause of unemployment problem is population growth. Job opportunities are less than the rate of population growth. And this growing population surpasses all development in the country.

Industrial backwardness:(Unemployment Problem)

Our country is lagging behind in the industrial sector. Indeed, the progress of this industry has been moderated, and the cottage industry is almost gone. Only a handful of people can be accommodated by our few mills, factories and enterprises.

Lack of cultivable land:

Agriculture is the main source of income for most of the people in our country. On the other hand, our cultivable land is very limited. So it will not be able to involve a large number of people. In addition, it is a seasonal work. As a result, farmers have to sit idle for several months every year.

Defective education system: Instead of providing any solution, our current education system is creating educated unemployed youth. Our education system does not give much opportunity to the students to get vocational training or technical education. As a result, even after getting the highest degree from the highest educational institution, they remain unemployed.

The attitude of our educated youth is as follows:

Our educated youth often find manual labor disrespectful . They prefer services from any kind of business. One of the reasons they are unemployed is the misconception about their dignity and prestige.

Solution:(Unemployment Problem)

To address this challenge, we must dedicate all our resources to this important goal without wasting time. The most important step for our country to become more industrialized. We should set up a large number of mills, factories and businesses so that many unemployed youth can find work.

We need to make a significant change in our education system. Vocational, vocational and technical education should be given priority. These will provide opportunities to work in various industries at home and abroad.
Young people who are educated should change their outlook on life. They need to learn to make their own career decisions. They can work in agriculture, fish farming and vegetable farming. They have the ability to set up a small business. In fact, self-employment can be an effective solution to this major problem.

For the employment of villagers, steps should be taken to establish a new system of co-operative agriculture, cottage industries and government employment in rural areas.

Bangladesh gets huge amount of money from labor export. It has helped to solve some of the problems. Their numbers can only be increased if proper precautions are taken. However, no effort will be fruitful unless appropriate steps are taken to curb population growth.

Conclusion:

Unemployment is a big problem for every country. We cannot expect our country to improve when millions of people are unemployed for being a proud nation. We should make every effort to free ourselves from this curse.
