Paragraph Liberation War of Bangladesh
Liberation war or war of independence is the war which is fought for the liberation of a country from the foreign rule or domination. Our liberation is the greatest achievement in the history of Bangladesh. It is a history of grief and pride. This war started on the 26th of March of 1971 and lasted till our victory on the 16th of December of the same year. On 16 December, we became independent and occupied a place in the world map as an independent nation. Before the Liberation War, the people of East Pakistan were deprived and exploited by the Pakistani rulers. The deprived us of all our basic rights. We had been under Pakistani rule for twenty-five years. In spite of winning in the General Election, they did not allow us to form the govemment. Rather on the night of 25 March, the attacked the unarmed sleeping Bangalees. So, our people were forced to take arms to get rid of their discrimination, oppression and suppression. More paragraph
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman led the struggle for us. But soon he was arrested by the Pakistani rulers. However, people from all walks of joined the war responding to the call and order of Bangabandhu. Colonel MAG Osmani was the Commander-of-Chief of that war. Our people fought heroically against the Pakistani Military. Many of them sacrificed their lives for the freedom of their dear motherland. At last we snatched away our independence after nine months of bloody war. We became independent on 16 December when the Pakistani force was compelled to surrender. We emerged as an independent nation in the world map. War of Independence is really a glorious achievement. This war teaches us to fight against any sort of injustice and oppression. It is true that after fifty-two years of independence, we have not yet been able to build our country. However, we all have to come forward with patriotic zeal to fulfil the dream of the Liberation War martyrs

বিদেশী শাসন বা আধিপত্য থেকে একটি দেশের মুক্তির জন্য যে যুদ্ধ সংঘটিত হয় তাকেই মুক্তিযুদ্ধ বা স্বাধীনতার যুদ্ধ বলে। আমাদের স্বাধীনতা বাংলাদেশের ইতিহাসে সবচেয়ে বড় অর্জন। এটা দুঃখ ও গর্বের ইতিহাস। এই যুদ্ধ 1971 সালের 26 মার্চ শুরু হয়েছিল এবং একই বছরের 16 ডিসেম্বর আমাদের বিজয় পর্যন্ত স্থায়ী হয়েছিল। ১৬ ডিসেম্বর আমরা স্বাধীন হই এবং স্বাধীন জাতি হিসেবে বিশ্বের মানচিত্রে স্থান দখল করি। মুক্তিযুদ্ধের আগে পূর্ব পাকিস্তানের জনগণ পাকিস্তানি শাসকদের দ্বারা বঞ্চিত ও শোষিত ছিল। আমাদের সকল মৌলিক অধিকার থেকে বঞ্চিত করেছে। আমরা পঁচিশ বছর পাকিস্তানি শাসনে ছিলাম। সাধারণ নির্বাচনে জয়ী হওয়া সত্ত্বেও তারা আমাদের সরকার গঠন করতে দেয়নি। বরং ২৫ মার্চ রাতে নিরস্ত্র ঘুমন্ত বাঙালিদের ওপর হামলা চালায়। তাই আমাদের জনগণ তাদের বৈষম্য, নিপীড়ন ও দমন-পীড়ন থেকে মুক্তি পেতে অস্ত্র ধরতে বাধ্য হয়েছে।
বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান আমাদের জন্য সংগ্রামের নেতৃত্ব দিয়েছেন। কিন্তু অচিরেই তিনি পাকিস্তানি শাসকদের হাতে গ্রেফতার হন। তবে বঙ্গবন্ধুর আহ্বানে সাড়া দিয়ে সর্বস্তরের মানুষ যুদ্ধে যোগ দেয়। কর্নেল এম এ জি ওসমানী ছিলেন সেই যুদ্ধের সর্বাধিনায়ক। আমাদের জনগণ পাকিস্তানি সামরিক বাহিনীর বিরুদ্ধে বীরত্বের সাথে যুদ্ধ করেছে। তাদের অনেকেই প্রিয় মাতৃভূমির স্বাধীনতার জন্য প্রাণ উৎসর্গ করেছেন। নয় মাস রক্তক্ষয়ী যুদ্ধের পর অবশেষে আমরা আমাদের স্বাধীনতা ছিনিয়ে আনলাম। ১৬ ডিসেম্বর পাকিস্তানি বাহিনী আত্মসমর্পণ করতে বাধ্য হলে আমরা স্বাধীন হই। বিশ্বের মানচিত্রে আমরা একটি স্বাধীন জাতি হিসেবে আত্মপ্রকাশ করেছি। স্বাধীনতা যুদ্ধ সত্যিই একটি গৌরবময় অর্জন। এই যুদ্ধ আমাদের শেখায় যেকোনো ধরনের অন্যায়-অত্যাচারের বিরুদ্ধে লড়াই করতে। এটা সত্য যে, স্বাধীনতার বাহান্ন বছর পার হলেও আমরা এখনো আমাদের দেশ গড়তে পারিনি। তবে মুক্তিযুদ্ধের শহীদদের স্বপ্ন পূরণে দেশপ্রেমের উদ্দীপনা নিয়ে আমাদের সবাইকে এগিয়ে আসতে হবে।
